About Me

You can call me The Ranter. I like to write and I have a lot of strong opinions on things, therefore I often write long rants about a variety of subjects. Typically I rant to my best friend, who has regularly told me to make my own blog and post my diatribes for the entire world to see - so here I am with my very own blog.

Some of the topics I'm most passionate about are mixed martial arts (if you haven't heard of it, you've likely heard of the UFC, which is essentially the NFL of mixed martial arts), videogames, movies/television series, and politics. I tend to favour logic, reason, and reality over feelings, conjecture and idealism, and am generally pretty good at illustrating my arguments through my writing.

I am blunt, unapologetic and abhore modern "politically correct" culture, so if you're easily offended, incapable of seeing other viewpoints, call anyone who disagrees with you a Nazi, or are otherwise stupid, please close this window and retreat to your nearest safe space. But remember: facts don't care about your feelings.

I'm writing this blog because I feel like it - if you want to suggest topics or things I should try out and review, feel free to send me a message, but I'm not writing anything on here for anything other than my own entertainment. If you want to read what I post, go for it - if you don't, then don't, I couldn't care less. If you don't like my writing, don't like anything I write about, or hate what I have to say, you are free to stop reading at any time, you won't hear me complaining.

Help Keep The Rant Going

I post and maintain this site for fun and as such do not expect to profit from it. Hosting a website is unfortunately not free however, so to hopefully recoup some of the costs you may see an ad or two (nothing intrusive, ever) on a page.

I've also partnered with Spreadshirt to create my own line of The Rant 365 and mixed martial arts-themed apparel, which you can check out here.

Please note for Canadian customers: unfortunately Spreadshirt prints and ships from the United States and as such items are subject to duties and brokerage fees when crossing the border - as duties on clothing are ridiculously high, these fees can easily add up to be as much as or even more than the cost of the entire order. As such, I recommend not purchasing for the time being if you live in Canada - just one more way in which we Canadians miss out on good stuff. Hopefully though they will open a Canadian warehouse at some point in the future.

Thank you for supporting The Rant!
